Sally Prue is a writer for children of all ages, from picture books up to Young Adult fiction.
She’s written fantasy, comedy, psychological thriller and historical fiction for older readers, as well as rhyming texts, comedy-adventure stories, and plays for infants and juniors.
Her novel Cold Tom won the Branford Boase prize and the Smarties Silver Award, and The Truth Sayer was shortlisted for the Guardian Children’s Book Prize.
Sally’s day jobs have included working in Time and Motion in a paper factory, and being an accompanist and piano and recorder teacher.
She loves country walks, gardening, playing music, painting, and reading, and takes a keen interest in more or less everything except sport and soap operas.Sally is married, has two grown up daughters, and lives on the edge of a small but very beautiful wood in Hertfordshire.
