Simon Packham was born in Brighton. After studying drama at Manchester University he spent the next twenty years as an actor/musician performing alongside (or more often behind) a diverse array of talents including Omar Sharif, Dame Judi Dench and Ann Aston from The Golden Shot.

Described in Books For Keeps as ‘among today's best writers of realistic, contemporary teen fiction’, a comprehensive school setting has allowed him to explore such themes as cyber-bullying (comin 2 gt u) grief and selective mutism (Silenced) and the teenager’s complex relationship with technology (Firewallers).
His next book, Trust Games will be published by Piccadilly Press in May 2014.
Simon’s work has also been shortlisted for The Texaco/National Youth Theatre Playwriting Competition and The Leeds Book Awards.

He lives in Horsham with his wife and two children, where he sometimes attempts to create the perfect pizza recipe and practise tai chi.
