Jo Loring-Fisher

As a child I would spend hours drawing and writing, it was my favourite thing to do! Inspired by a creative and supportive family, I was encouraged and inspired to draw from an early age. I grew up in Sussex, close to where Winnie-the-pooh was written and felt the magic of that forest. I now live near Stonehenge, in Wiltshire, England and the landscape inspires me greatly.

I am passionate about art and children’s books, so it is wonderful to be able to spend my time combining the two. As a mum of four, I have spent many an hour sharing my love of books with my children and have witnessed the impact this has had on them.

I have a BA in Illustration from Norwich School of Art and hold an MA in Children’s Book Illustration from Cambridge School of Art.

Maisie’s Scrapbook (Lantana Publishing, 2019) is the first published book that I have illustrated, and I am currently working on two more titles that I have also written. My work is comprised of drawing, printmaking, painting and collage.
